Lovely stay near the Cotswold Way
beautiful decoration great shower bag arrival lovely view
The room had beautiful decorations and felt very airy. The bathroom features a great shower. I was happy my bags waited in the room upon arrival. The newly decorated room was fresh. I also liked the lovely views across the village.
The hallways was a bit cluttered with boxes.

The staff was friendly and helpful . The welcome was warm, with a Westie dog there. One lady seemed a bit grumpy, but they looked short staffed.

Bar food was great. Breakfast offers good choices, though it was busy. The hotel undergoes an update. Sky Sports shows in the bar and offers good service.

The hotel is right on the Cotswold Way, very convenient. The location proved perfect. The view from the top was great and quiet. There were beautiful walks with great views nearby.

unhelpful lad promised refund
The continental breakfast was more than ample, which I appreciated after a long day of walking (fuel is important!).
I booked a twin room, but when i arrived, I was given a room that was supposedly a step down. The lad at the counter was vague and unhelpful when I complained. He offered a refund, but it never materialized. The whole experience reminded me of an inconvenience to them, never great.

mixed feelings
slow food service disappointing breakfast
the location was good for exploring the area.
the food service was slow (i think they were short-staffed). lunch and breakfast both disappointed me. one afternoon, my attempt to shower was cut short by the electricity meter running out, leaving me in the dark while wet.
