Good Stay
hotel view excellent vantage point high standard
I found the hotel views to be very nice. The location provided an excellent vantage point. The ambience of the rooms matched the hotel's general character. I thought the evening meal in the restaurant reached a high standard, and the breakfast also did.
The lack of blinds in the room let in a lot of light at daybreak.
Facilities

The hotel features very convenient parking spaces, guaranteeing easy access and security for all guests.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant's menu highlighted locally sourced ingredients. It reflected a commitment to quality and sustainability. Dishes were expertly prepared. They presented a blend of traditional techniques and contemporary flair. The wine list included a selection of english wines.

Good Anniversary Stay
exquisite grounds convenient parking
The hotel features exquisite grounds and very convenient parking. I was very happy with the front desk welcome at check-in and check-out. Staff carried our luggage, a lovely touch. Our four poster bed was very comfortable and provided excellent sleep. I woke to birds singing.
The hotel only stocks European wines, which might limit options for some guests. There was a service charge on the final invoice. This was unexpected.
Location
9/10
The hotel is located in a country house setting. The sweeping views over the valley are gorgeous. The large gardens offer many places to sit and relax.
Dining
10/10
Dinner in the restaurant featured locally sourced ingredients. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine list. The breakfast quality matched dinner. I found the service excellent.
Service
10/10
The staff were friendly and helpful . Nothing was too much trouble for them. They fulfilled every request quickly. The hotel offered to carry luggage to our room.

the staff greeted me warmly upon arrival. my splendid room offered valley views and was conveniently located in the main house (i appreciated the upgrade). the breakfast was great, with honey sourced from the hotel's own hives.
the kettle in my room, though clean outside, needed internal cleaning.

heating system cracked cistern
The staff had a wonderful manner, attentive but not excessively so. This created a lovely experience.
The room heating system wasn't on upon arrival. It took over an hour to warm up after contacting reception. Maintenance issues in the bathroom included rusty Venetian blinds and a cracked toilet cistern. the Wi-Fi code was not provided at check-in. I had to ask for it.
