Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Woolmarket House, situated in the heart of Chipping Campden, is known for its delicious, made-to-order breakfast, which some guests particularly enjoyed having delivered to their room. The rooms, such as 'Chastleton', are tastefully decorated and spacious, with some even featuring a dining table; however, it's worth noting that some ground-floor rooms can experience noise from the nearby restaurant. Guests also appreciated the little extras, like fruit cake and cookies provided in the rooms, as well as the convenience of the location for exploring local villages, houses, and gardens.

adequate room, some minor setbacks

delicious breakfast cute staff original fireplace packed restaurant restaurant courtyard limited privacy
the breakfast was delicious. it featured fresh fruit. the staff was very cute. we stayed in the room with the original fireplace from the 1500's. it added character to the experience.
our suite, the chastleton, was right beside a packed restaurant courtyard. a table sat directly outside the window, with people dining. it seemed like staying in a restaurant. there was no privacy.

restaurant noise dated bathroom
i booked the "king room" for three nights. the room faced the courtyard, so i heard restaurant noise late. the extractor fan also ran loudly at night. the bathroom felt dated too. the experience wasn't as peaceful as i hoped, especially considering the cost.

breakfast ordering room service privacy issue restaurant courtyard
The breakfast ordering system was efficient (you specify preferences the night before). I found the option of room service very convenient.
My room was located next to a restaurant courtyard. This arrangement meant there was a lack of privacy due to the proximity to diners and staff.

the breakfast had fresh ingredients and tasted good. the hostess was accommodating and helpful with directions to local attractions i found that quite useful.
the room floor was not level and the bed was slanted i felt the structural integrity was questionable. i saw cracks at the window base and the carpets looked old i questioned their cleanliness.
