central location thai restaurant discount guest satisfaction
the location was indeed central to everything i needed. i also received a ten percent discount at the thai restaurant for being a guest. breakfast proved generous and i noticed the owner made strong efforts to ensure guest satisfaction.
the bathroom presented some quirks and i needed a bit to fully understand its functions.

leaking issue breakfast box
location was PERFECT in the centre and i had a great view from my room.
the roof had a LEAKING issue which they did not fix properly, only wiping down the walls. breakfast was advertised as cooked, yet it changed to a basic "breakfast box" last minute, with items left unrefrigerated at the foot of the stairs, it felt misleading AND poor value.

charming stay in historic building

beautiful room immaculate cleanliness central location delicious food
The room was beautiful and impeccably clean. I especially liked the lovely sheets and luxurious bedding. the location was central and convenient (only a 3 minute walk from the train station). the staff were helpful and were really good too assist me. i found the food from the restaurant reasonably priced and delicious.
the noise from other rooms was a bit noticeable and affected my sleep quality.

The restaurant offered generous portions and great thai food. I enjoyed the delicious packed breakfast i received on my departure day. the toasties from the nearby boneyard (where breakfast is served) are also a must-try.

my room featured an eclectic mix of hand-painted, solid, beautiful furniture with a very comfy new bed. it included plenty of tea and coffee, a quiet fridge, a good quality hair dryer, and a lovely spacious shower. the building itself has a rustic beauty reflecting its 350-year history.

the location is perfect, right in the centre of town, and free parking is available all along the high street. it is only a short walk from the train station making it very accessible. i had a great view from my room (which was lovely).
