great hotel, few hiccups

historic charm friendly staff many choices perfect location
this building has historic charm. the staff seemed friendly and helpful. breakfast included many choices. the location allows short walks to several pubs.
the room lighting was dim. this made reading difficult.

Fantastic Stay, Was so great!

friendly staff delicious breakfast
Alina was so friendly and efficient when I booked directly! I stayed for three nights and the room was beautiful. Breakfast offered plenty of delicious choices (I especially liked the eggs Benedict). The staff were all very friendly and professional.
The wine selection at the bar could be improved, as it seemed quite limited. I think adding a few better-quality options would definitely enhance the experience.

The hotel allows an easy ten-minute walk to Blenheim Palace. The High Street is also right nearby. There are convenient places to eat right on the doorstep.

The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful (and very cute to my dog!). Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble for them. Their attitude added to the quality of my stay.

Really good stay

clean room comfy beds excellent bathroom
During a two-night stay, the bus stop for Oxford was conveniently located just outside. The room was clean, a detail i noticed immediately. The beds offered great comfort, and the bathroom was excellent, it had all i needed.
The hotel lacked evening meal options. This limitation was noticeable. There were no dressing gowns, which would have enhanced the comfort. Sometimes, no one was available to serve at the bar.
