Acceptable Stay

gluten-free bread breakfast choices car parks awkward interaction
The location is a reasonable walk from the railway station. I found it easy to locate. The provided breakfast had lots of choices. Eggs were cooked perfectly and tasted great. They even accommodated my request for gluten-free bread.
I found no parking available at the hotel. Parking required a 15-minute walk to major car parks. Noise was an issue as it carried throughout the hotel. I could hear everything going on in the bathroom next to my room.

Decent, but with some issues

damp room bad smell
The location proved really convenient. The walk to the town centre took only a few minutes. Breakfast tasted quite nice.
Unfortunately, THE room smelled damp. This was particularly noticeable in the toilet. There was also a very bad smell, and mold was present in several places. This.

My stay had a couple of notable downsides. The shower drain was clogged, so water accumulated quickly. the television signal was weak, made watching TV difficult (I like to catch up on news in the evenings).

Charming Stay with a Cute Host

quality towels big bed gluten free bread
My room had quality towels and a big bed. A window was able to open. Breakfast included several choices, and eggs were cooked well. The host accommodated gluten free bread for me.
The house is old. I could clearly hear noise that carried through the hotel. My room close to the bathroom allowed me to hear everything there. This made for a not so relaxing enviroment

Railway station is at a twenty minute walk. The location is great. It was easy to find. I did appreciate this convenient access.
Dining

Breakfast was served in a sun room extension. This room had a view into the garden. Breakfast table was set with condiments, jams, and butter. It created a good atmosphere.
Facilities

The owner gave me keys to come and go as I pleased. I was only asked to lock the front door. The house has two stair sets to reach the room. I found space to store my suitcase once I was there.
