Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the spacious and comfortable rooms at The Mooring Post, with some highlighting the stunning top-floor room, often used as a honeymoon suite, featuring a huge bed, comfy couch, and a jet/jacuzzi bath. The hotel's location near the River Severn and Over Canal Basin offers lovely surroundings, placing guests within convenient reach of Gloucester Quays (a walk or short drive away) and providing easy access to walks and cycleways. The on-site restaurant gets positive mentions, though some guests have noted it's not always open; however, the hotel provides good parking and is near a great pub, giving guests options. Some guests have observed minor cleanliness issues in the bathroom or reported cheap bath products, but these instances appear to be occasional exceptions to the overall positive experience.
