I adored the historic restoration. It really showcased the hotel. the location worked well for exploring the cotswolds. spacious rooms added to the romantic feel, and i cherished the ambiance.
the staircases felt too steep for me and i would have liked an offer of assistance with my luggage.

unwelcoming receptionist breakfast mess
the lady at reception wasn't exactly cute. i got there a bit early, like 30 minutes, and there was no budging on the check-in time. so, i sat in the car killing time. the spa access situation also annoyed me. plus, they messaged me the day before about it. i also have dietary restrictions, and the breakfast was a mess. i got sick, and my boyfriend's bacon-less french toast came with bacon, then the replacement was just the same one warmed up after they removed the bacon.

lovely getaway!
quality breakfast friendly staff spacious room attractive garden
The breakfast offered a superior quality of food and a generous quantity. It was delicious. the staff were very friendly and cute, so helpful. i found the rooms spacious and comfortable. the garden area was also attractive.
The room's floorboards creaked loudly. It woke me up several times each night. it was quite a restless stay. i appreciate it's an old building, but the noise was disruptive.

dirty room hallway noise
The room was acceptable and the location was convenient.
My room was NOT clean upon arrival. There was hair in the bathroom and dust EVERYWHERE. The noise from the hallway was incessant. I could hear every conversation and door slam. This made it difficult to relax or get any rest.
