Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Lion Inn is often praised for its amazing, recently refurbished and spacious rooms, with some guests staying in the Oakley room finding it particularly comfortable. Many appreciate the delicious breakfast included, with the option to enjoy it by the log fire. The pub's central location is ideal for exploring the area, including visiting Sudeley Castle, though a few guests have noted the lack of free Wi-Fi requiring an email for access. The beer garden also makes a beautiful and relaxing space.

Really good stay

attentive staff wide breakfast standalone bath cozy atmosphere
I appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. Nothing was like too MUCH trouble. Breakfast was GREAT with many choices available. Our room had a standalone bath, something I value. I was grateful for the warm and cozy atmosphere throughout the hotel.
The WI-FI required an email address to access, resulting in unwanted marketing emails.

Really good Stay at this Gem!

courtyard garden pod machine
The room had direct access to a charming rear courtyard garden. I had complimentary cookies and a coffee pod machine in the room. The food, especially breakfast, was AMAZING!!! The staff were lovely and wrote down some places where I could walk my dog.
The absence of free parking was a bit of a letdown. I used the paid car park at the back of the pub. A reduced rate for residents could improve the stay.
Facilities
9/10
This hotel features a cozy bar area with a wood-burning fireplace. Guests can eat breakfast, have dinner, and play cards there. They also serve beers and a great oat flat white.
Location
10/10
Sudeley Castle is a short walk away from the hotel. This hotel offers a perfect location for wandering around.
Rooms
9/10

Very nice Service and Delicious Food!!!

spacious room charming room delicious dinner fantastic staff
My room was spacious and charming, I reminded me of royalty. The dinner and breakfast I had were very delicious!!! The staff showed very nice service. Karyn, Tom, and all the staff were fantastic. They made my friend very comfortable after an accident.
The paid car park behind the building lacked a residents' discount. It would be nice if residents were offered reduced rates.
Dining
9/10
The breakfasts were really delicious and featured plenty of choice. The local produce tasted fresh and flavorful. I found an excellent range of drinks available. all the food was at sensible prices.
Facilities
9/10
The room was well-appointed and very quiet. I found the location to be perfect for local walks. I also liked the easy access to nearby attractions.
