Great Amenities and Convenient Locale

cute fire convenient location easy parking
The reception area features a cute open fire. I especially liked that the hotel is close to the M5, yet it maintains a countryside feel. I found parking very easy and convenient. Plenty of spaces were available.
The corridor leading to the annex bedrooms could use some updating. The carpet seemed quite worn.
Rooms
9/10
The room had a king-sized bed and provided ample space, a real plus. The bathroom featured a modern walk-in shower which was easy to use. Fluffy, clean, white towels were supplied (I always appreciate that).
Facilities
8/10
Breakfast included both a buffet and hot food options you could order. I found the service friendly. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises (the restaurant food was really good!).
Location
10/10
The hotel is near the Cotswolds, great for walking. It is also in proximity to concerts in Stroud. The grounds provide opportunities for photography (I took some nice photos).

lovely pastries friendly staff nice touch long distance poorly lit path slippery stairs
The breakfasts were lovely. I particularly enjoyed the pastries, cereal, fruit, and yogurt. the full english option was great too. the staff really were pretty good. Even the general manager chatted with us about our stay, a really nice touch.
our room was quite a distance from the main building, which wasn't ideal for my mobility issues. we had to walk outside in the rain on a dimly lit path. the metal stairs to the room were wet and slippery.

Good Stay

good selection picturesque view open fire
I found the breakfast offered a good selection of options. I had a room overlooking the gardens (it was quite picturesque). The reception area had an open firewith a homely feel. The free parking was ample, a definite plus for travelers with cars.
The corridors to my room had a noticeable smell of damp earth (possibly from unmaintained plants).
Location
9/10
The hotel is near the Cotswold canal (I noticed that some guests were walking there). The hotel's setting feels quite rural, despite its proximity to the M5. The grounds feature an outside seating area for drinks.
Service
9/10
The hotel staff were great. I observed them going the extra mile to assist with specific requests. They focus on being environmentally conscious, which I thought was great (the hotel has a clear eco policy).
Rooms
8/10
The room was clean and generously sized. I found the hospitality tray in the room to be a nice touch. My room included Twinings tea packets and nice hot chocolate (I especially liked the variety of beverages).
