Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Frocester offers guests generously sized, modern rooms, some with private seating areas, and many find the wet room en suites well-equipped. Guests often enjoy the convenience of on-site dining at the Frocester Arms, with its blend of traditional and modern decor, and the opportunity to sample home-baked bread. While most appreciate the updated rooms, a few guests have noted issues such as the brightness of emergency lights or occasional lack of air conditioning.

the single room included a hospitality tray. i found nice biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. breakfast impressed me with fresh fruit. i also enjoyed delicious scrambled eggs and salmon one morning.
the belly pork i ordered was somewhat dry. it was meaty and substantial though it lacked the tasty fatty layer i expected. i asked for extra gravy, which they happily provided and it helped with the dryness.

It was ideal for enjoying a warm, sunny day. the restaurant presented a great menu, and the food preparation showed brilliance. the private cottage gave quiet and provided all essential amenities.
the room felt somewhat small, and reaching for tea or coffee in the wardrobe proved a bit awkward due to the limited space.

Wonderful stay near Stroud

generous spaceclean roomfriendly staffbright light
The room offered generous space. I found it very clean. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (i loved the home baked bread). Staff were friendly and very helpful.
The emergency light in the room was very bright. This made it difficult to sleep, and i wish it could be dimmed or turned off.
Facilities

The cottage provides a great alternative to a standard hotel room. I was attending a wedding nearby. This venue offers good amenities and nice locations so it would be my first option if i will be in this area again.
