Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Furzen Farmhouse is often described as a relaxing and well-equipped alternative to a hotel, ideally located for exploring the Cotswolds and just a short drive from Cirencester. Guests frequently appreciate the well-maintained grounds, especially the calming presence of horses, and the well-equipped kitchen facilities. While the bathroom allocation has been a point of concern for some, many find the farmhouse a charming and comfortable home away from home.

some inaccuracies noted

private bathrooms shared kitchen area
the room was lovely and the location was super.
i booked over a year ago. the rooms were listed as having private bathrooms, it was blatantly advertised. at no point did it state the kitchen area, dining area, or amenities are shared with other people downstairs, this was frustrating.

Serene Stay Amidst Nature

equipped kitchen useful washing machine comfortable linens cute hosts
The kitchen was well-equipped, and I found everything I needed to prepare meals. I was able to use the washing machine, which proved useful after a coffee spill. The bathroom had great towels and comfortable linens. I really appreciated that. The hosts were very cute, explaining the facilities and sharing the building's history.
I noticed some areas were still being finished (small cosmetic things), but it didn't affect my stay.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel features a nice sized kitchen with all necessary equipment, including a refrigerator and oven for cooking. There is also a large dining and lounge area available , providing ample space to relax or enjoy meals.
Rooms

My room was large and spacious (it had views in two different directions). The room was perfectly equipped with comfortable linens, offering a relaxing and enjoyable environment. Great towels are also included.

bathroom allocation inadequate soundproofing
The self-check-in sheet mentioned that bathroom sharing might be necessary. This came as a surprise to me. I had expected a private bathroom as advertised. the soundproofing seemed inadequate. I could hear noises from other rooms throughout the night.

Acceptable Stay with Disappointing Aspects

poor bathroom allocation missing blinds
The location is peaceful and surrounded by countryside.
I did not like the bathroom allocation. It seemed like bathrooms could be better assigned to certain rooms. The window to the bathroom as I came up the stairs had no blinds. There was no privacy as a result.
