Really good Stay with River Views

The staff was cute and very helpful. I appreciated the special room upgrade, it included a shower and a bath. The location is quite beautiful by the canal. The Italian restaurant has great authentic food with a lovely atmosphere.
The parking area was a bit limited.

The hotel provides parking though spaces are somewhat limited. There is a conservatory providing beautiful views and balconies that offer a wonderful experience. The working mill wheel adds character and charm to the surroundings.

My room was clean. The bedding was fresh. The bathroom was similarly well-kept though showing some wear. It was adequately sized. I found the room to be very comfortable and conducive to rest.

The hotel benefits from its proximity to the river. It is a peaceful location. There are lovely views over the weir. The setting allows convenient walks alongside the canal.

The continental breakfast provided a pleasant start to the day. The restaurant features really good pasta dishes. The restaurant offered a conservatory area and balconies. Both overlook the canal and the river.

thin wallsparking charge
The walls seemed thin. I could hear conversations from the adjacent rooms. it wasn't exactly a peaceful retreat. also, the promised "free parking" turned out to cost ten pounds, quite the little surprise. i thought that was a bit of a scam, not cool at all. We loved the area around the hotel, but that parking charge soured things a bit.
